Kate Rogers (she/her)

Hi, everyone! My name is Kate Rogers (she/her) and I’m a senior here at UNF majoring in Environmental Studies and Psychology. I love gardening, reading, baking, working at the UNF botanical gardens, and going on nature walks :) I hope to graduate in the Spring of 2025 with my ultimate career goal being to become a national park ranger. I’ve always had a deep love and connection with nature and the environment as well as a passion for plant/wildlife conservation. I’m so excited to work with all of you in the upcoming semesters and continue KAO's positive environmental work and impact! 

AJ Hutchinson

Major: Physics: Mechanical Engineering

Hi, my name is AJ and I am a member of the KAO Executive Board. I joined KAO after it was recommended to me by Ruby, I've been a part of ELP and the Environmental Sustainability LLC. I have always been outdoorsy and interested in protecting our environment, I plan on tying this into my major by designing environmentally conscious Internal Combustion Engines for modern motor vehicles.

Miranda Flowers

Major: Environmental Science 

Hello! My name is Miranda, and I'm an upcoming junior.

 I dove into UNF’s environmental community during my second semester as a freshman and haven’t looked back since. 

I’ve had the privilege of working at Ogier Gardens, serving on the KAO Executive Board, completing the Environmental Leadership Program, and joining the IERE staff team.

 These experiences have not only helped me find my place at UNF, but also my purpose. After graduation, I plan to pursue a career as an ecologist, using my passion for conservation to create meaningful change. 

Horatio Gilman

Hi, I am Horatio a native of Jacksonville majoring in civil engineering. I hope to bring more sustainable ideas to construction as I advance my career. I enjoy hanging out with my friends on campus, rock climbing and enjoying the nature around Jacksonville. My main hobbies outside of school include reading, rock climbing, and running.
